The Cranston Housing Authority (CHA) owns and operates five hundred eighty-six public housing apartments designated for elderly and disabled residents. These apartments are located in six buildings:

• Arlington Manor - 50 Birch Street
• Budlong Manor - 100 Arthur Street
• Hall Manor - 70 Warwick Avenue
• Jennings Manor - 125 Harris Avenue
• Knightsville Manor - 85 Briggs Street
• Randall Manor - 75 Mathewson Street

Anyone wishing to receive an application for the Public Housing wait list should send an email to: reception@cranhousing.org with a name and mailing address or call our office at (401) 944-7210 and leave a message including name and mailing address.

CHA also administers two hundred sixty-two (tenant-based) Section 8 Vouchers, also known as the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Vouchers provide a rental subsidy for tenants in privately owned properties. Applications will be accepted from February 1-14, 2024 through this website.

CHA promotes housing opportunity through its Homeownership Program. Participants must meet income criteria and demonstrate an ability to qualify for a mortgage loan to purchase the property. More information is available by calling our office at (401) 944-7210.
